Protect Your Rights
Constitutional Literacy & Advocacy
Section 20 organisation is dedicated to breathe life into the constitution, such that the youths of Zimbabwe use it as a living document supporting the substantive promotion and realisation of rights, with particular attention to those who are poor, stigmatised or marginalised. We are committed to the creative use of law as a positive force for social change. We achieve that by combining cutting-edge litigation, advocacy and strategic communications on a broad range of youth and human rights issues. The organisation through this pillar focuses on promoting democratic engagement, constitutional literacy, and legal advocacy by investing in and building the capabilities of individuals below the ages of 35 and youth grassroots-based structures to take action and support their communities to claim and realise their rights as enshrined in the Zimbabwe Constitution with much emphasis on Section 20. We have a team of legal volunteers who teach the Constitution and address all legal questions that arise in the process. We run our public advocacy through our movement called Present Danger.
