Gender Equality

Section 20 organisation contributes to making both the gender equality agenda more inclusive of youth and the youth agenda gender-sensitive. We stand guided by section 56 of the Zimbabwe Constitution which provides a strong framework for the protection and promotion of the rights of women and men, girls and boys in Zimbabwe. It recognises the equality of all persons and goes further to explicitly outlaw discrimination on the grounds of sex or gender. In ensuring the provisions of Section 20 are met, we roll out programs and affirmative actions that speak into mainstreaming gender across the State, agencies, institutions and all government policies, plans, programmes and projects. This cluster is designed to promote the advancement of gender equity and equality in society especially the young people.
